My 22 month old, Arinya, absolutely LOVES Peppa Pig. Who best to try out some new creative inspiration?

The hat is crochet, needle felting and embroidery.

Octo-Ornaments

My kids are crazy for The Octonauts! The challenge is on to complete an entire set of the characters. So far I’ve done Captain Barnacles and Kwazii. Peso will be on my hook tonight. 🙂

Early Girl Dress – Xmas Creation Completed!

After hitting the panic button, I made a concerted effort to spend more time on this project and finished it. The cabling effect is just gorgeous and the fit on my daughter is perfect.

I recommend this pattern by Lisa Naskrent as a very achievable project to kickstart a move towards trying crochet cabling. It looked daunting but in reality it was just like any other pattern.

Early Girl Dress – Xmas creation

After completing the chevron set, I have a new passion for cotton and crochet dresses.

The Early Girl dress by Lisa Naskrent (pattern available here ) has been on my to do list since first setting eyes on it but the cabling put me off.

Now that I’m into the swing of the pattern, it isn’t that hard at all. ☺️
